A Nigerian Prominent Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Died at years of Age in his sleep.
His death was confirmed by one of his students, Alhaji Bala Muhammed Abubakar, in Gombe, North East of Nigeria.
In his words
“Hakane, yanzu haka ina cikin gidan, Shehu kwana ya kare.” meaning “Yes, it is true. I am in his residence at this moment; the Sheikh has passed on.”
A respected Islamic Scholar
Born on 29 June 1927, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s death marked the end of a long and distinguished life devoted to Islamic teaching and scholarship.
As one of the most respected scholars of his generation, his influence extended well beyond his immediate community, as many regarded him as a guiding light in religious education and moral instruction.
He will be buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
