The Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (International) MTA Africa, has trained staff of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, in Accra on Advance Editing and Artificial Intelligence, AI techniques to enhance content creation.
The one week training was successfully delivered by MTA International Production team member Ghaalib Khan, empowering media professionals with cutting edge skills.
Based on common industry trends for broadcasting and editing training, AI curriculum included tools such as:
- AI-Powered Editing Software: Tools like Adobe Premiere Pro (with AI features like Auto Reframe, Scene Edit Detection, Text-Based Editing) or DaVinci Resolve (with AI-based Magic Mask, Speed Warp, and Voice Isolation).
- Generative AI Tools: Possibly ChatGPT or Claude for scriptwriting, content ideation, and newsroom automation.
- AI for Audio/Video Enhancement: Tools like Topaz Video AI for upscaling and enhancement, or Descript for AI-powered transcription and editing.
- AI for Media Management: Automated tagging, transcription, and metadata generation using platforms like IBM Watson or Google Cloud AI

The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation expressed sincere appreciation to MTA for its continued commitment to developing and strengthening the capacity of its staff.
Partnership Goal
The MTA International Africa has had training collaboration agreement with some African broadcasting organisations including Ghana Broadcasting Corporation to strengthen the capacity building of staff and enhance content creation for broadcast and online distribution.
Specifically for GBC , this initiative is part of a long-standing partnership between MTA International Africa and GBC, which has included training in studio lighting, scriptwriting, and social media marketing.
The collaboration with GBC and MTA International Africa has been in place since 2015.
MTA International Africa has provided training to personnel of GBC in a vast array of media-related areas, such as script writing, social media marketing, studio lighting, and set design, among others.
MTA Africa and Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC are members of the African Union of Broadcasting, AUB.
The Memory Lane
MTA International Africa was inaugurated in August, 2016 by the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V. The transmission control is based in London, with studio across Africa- Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania Uganda, and Mauritius.
MTA Africa has two channels – MTA Africa 4 and 5 on www.mta.tv, broadcasting in English, French, Twi, Yoruba and Hausa
It will celebrate 10th year anniversary in August 2026.
