Burkina Faso has launched a National Solidarity Campaign. This is called Deme Sira in local language.
This is a nationwide initiative which places solidarity, shared responsibility and social cohesion at the center of public action.
The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso told government officials, community organizations, youth volunteers and religious leaders, that solidarity is not an abstract concept but a concrete pathway that unites Burkinabè around a shared destiny.
A Symbolic Moment
A symbolic moment marked the ceremony: the passing of a lit torch to the governor of the Kadiogo region, the first step in a journey that will take the flame of solidarity across all regions of the country.
This torch represents a collective commitment carried from region to region and generation to generation.
The Deme Sira Initiative
“Dɛmɛ Sira” aims to strengthen community bonds, rebuild national confidence and support the creation of a more resilient economy built on cooperation and mutual support.
