1st position Winner of Argungu fishing festival 2026
Tourists and dignitaries wey waka come Kebbi State for the 61st Argungu International Fishing Festival don witness big prizes wey winners carry go.
The festival grand finale see President Bola Tinubu attend plus tourists from different parts of Nigeria and around the world.
For the hotly contested fishing contest, Abubakar Usman from Maiyama catch 59-kilogram fish, come carry first prize. Dem give am two cars, gift from Kebbi State Government and WACOT Rice, plus one million naira cash.
Second place go Abdullahi Garba from Argungu.
Him collect car, 700,000 naira and one Hajj seat.
Third place na shared prize between Rabiu Dauda and Danlaso Kankani, both catch 33kg fish each.
Dem carry 200,000 naira and motorcycle each.
All the cars wey dem give na locally made Nigerian automobiles to support local car industry.
