The MTA International Africa Sierra Leone Studios has been opened.
The Managing Director of MTA International, Sir Munir Deen Sham, officially opened the studio in the nation’s capital, Freetown, at an impressive ceremony attended by the former vice president of Sierra Leone, ministers of state, executives from the state and private media, Jama’at representatives and other dignitaries.
Under the blessed guidance of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) a new purpose-built studio was inaugurated on Saturday 23rd May. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community operates a state-of-the-art, purpose-built studio.
MTA International Africa was inaugurated in August 2016 by Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Its transmission control centre is based in London, with studios across several African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Mauritius.

The network operates MTA Africa 4 and MTA Africa 5 on MTA TV, broadcasting in English, French, Twi, Yoruba and Hausa. It is expected to celebrate its 10th anniversary in August 2026.
