The Federation of International Football Association, FIFA , has sanctioned South Africa for featuring an ineligible players during the world cup qualifier match with Lesotho.
Bafana Bafana of South Africa fielded midfielder Teboho Mokoena in the World Cup Qualifier against Lesotho in March.
According to the FIFA rulings, South Africa Bafana Bafana lost three points to Lesotho. This effectively affects the group B table. Nigeria qualifying chances for the world cup is alive if the remain three games are won.
