Humanity First Provides Relief Materials To 600 Families -

Beneficiaries of Humanity First International Nigeria relief Materials

Humanity First Nigeria , an international NGO under the auspices of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide has provided relief materials to 600 Families across Nigeria.

This was another demonstration of compassion and service to humanity after the 30 years celebration of the global organisation .

Humanity First Nigeria has successfully completed a multi-state disaster relief mission across Jigawa, Maiduguri, Mangu, and Lagos, for over 600 vulnerable families affected by floods and conflicts.

Relief Materials Coordination

The operation, coordinated by the Disaster Relief and Programs Team (DRPT) under the leadership of Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Rafi, was supported by Humanity First Germany and locally co-funded by Humanity First Nigeria.

The team began its mission in Raju Village, Dutse LGA (Jigawa State), where 175 families received food items and basic supplies. From there, they proceeded to Maiduguri, where 202 internally displaced families were supported at the Bulumkutu Primary School Camp.

Mangu, Plateau State was the next port of call, distributing relief packages to 165 flood-affected families.

The humanitarian support was concluded in Oke-Eletu, Ijede LCDA, Lagos State. 102 families were supported at the local community hall.

Analysis

In total, Humanity First Nigeria distributed food and essential supplies, engaging 89 volunteers in more than 1,900 man-hours of service. Despite logistical hurdles and tough terrain, the team pressed on with resilience and commitment.

“Our mission was challenging, but every mile traveled was worth it when we saw the relief and gratitude on people’s faces,”

said Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Rafi, Team Lead of the Disaster Relief and Programs Team (DRPT)

Plans for the Future

He added that Humanity First Nigeria plans to acquire a dedicated logistics vehicle and expand its rapid response capacity to reach affected communities faster in future emergencies.

Appreciation from Beneficiaries

The responses were positive in all the areas visited, the mai angwa in Ruga village expressed his heartfelt appreciation to HFN for keeping them in their hearts despite the fact that the time is gone the effect of the storm is still being felt in the community

In Maiduguri , a female beneficiary who lost most of her property to the flood thanked HFN for their thoughtfulness.

The Director of the IDP Camp in Mangu Sohotden Ibrahim Mathias also commended HFN.

He said the of the affected by insurgency only over 20 still remain in the camp and the people are presently finding too hard to feed.

“I will be relieved for sometime with the supplies brought by HFN”, a beneficiary Said.

Ayodeji Adeboboye, the Vice Chairman of the New Era Community Development Association Oke-Eletu – Oko Ope area in Ijede LCDA of Lagos State received the relief items and assisted in the distribution to the victims.
