World Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

The head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, has admonished women to remain steadfast and strive to good moral standard.
Addressing over 19,000 women and other participants at the on-going annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Islamic conference, Jalsa Salana in Oakland, Hampshire, United Kingdom, the global Islamic leader said women can attain greater spiritual heights through preference to faith rather than worldly matters.
According to him, “these objectives are not to be pursued in few days; rather, they require continuous and lifelong efforts. Warning that failure to adhere to this guidance will lead to catastrophic end”
Reciting the Holy Quran
He advised Muslim women to recite Holy Quran and pay attention to its meaning through the commentaries, noting that those who cannot read can listen through audio recording.
This is important today as young girls living in Western countries often raise questions from their mothers after hearing objections made against the Holy Quran. Although answers to such objections are given from time to time, conscious effort to study the Holy Quran should be made to answer these objections independently.
In his words, “Divine light will enter your practical lives only when you read the Holy Quran and act upon its teachings. Read the Holy Quran with deep reflection. Do not read it merely as a collection of stories; rather, study it as a profound philosophy and as a complete system of guidance. Reflect deeply upon it and then you will see that you will be able to silence every opponent”.
The Challenge of Mainstream and Social Media
The Ahmadiyya leader noted that the evil attacks have become intense, continuous and relentless through the mainstream and social media which are diverting people’s attention away from religion and drawing them towards evil.
He called on women to train their children and offer fervent prayers at all times against the evil of the free communication from the media .” Prayers offered during times of hardship are, to a certain extent, appropriate. The anguish they contain is valuable, but whether Allah chooses to accept them rests with His wisdom”. He noted.
The formal session for the women began with the recitation of a portion of the Holy Quran: Surah al-Ahzab, Chapter 33, Verse.36-37, followed by its Urdu translation by Qurat-ul-Ain Virk Sahib. Ramsha Hassan Sahiba then presented an Urdu poem by Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud.
Academic awards were given to students who excelled in various academic grades in the last one year.
The Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community United Kingdom is a unique event that brings over 50,000 participants from more than 90 countries to increase religious knowledge and promote a sense of peace in society.
Eminent speakers discuss a range of religious topics and their relevance to contemporary society. Additionally, a number of parliamentarians, civic leaders and diplomats from different countries also address the gathering and underline the convention’s objective of enhancing unity, understanding and mutual respect.
A special feature of this convention is that it is blessed by the presence of His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
He addresses the convention over each of the three days, providing an invaluable insight into religious teachings and how they are a source of guidance for the world today.
