Sadio Mané’ has retired from international football after a good outing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mane’s message after announcing his retirement from international football: “Know that I sacrificed everything for this flag-the Senegalese National Flag.
He continued “I gave my best and always fought fiercely for our country. Your continuous support has been the driving force behind my success. Tomorrow, I will be happy to put my experience at the service of the nation, whether within the technical staff, on the coaching benches, or in management. Long live Senegal.”

The former Liverpool star released an emotional farewell statement confirming his departure from the national team.During his time with the Lions of Teranga, Mané earned over 130 caps, served as the team’s captain, and led Senegal to their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in 2021.
