Three Nigerians Wunmi Mosaku and the Ajayi Brothers have won the Historic British Academy Film Awards ,BAFTA, in the United Kingdom
This is the 79th British Academy Film Awards.
Akinola Davies Jr., Wale Davies, won the 2026 BAFTA for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer for their film My Father’s Shadow.
Wunmi Mosaku, won the 2026 BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Annie in the film Sinners.
The BAFTAS are the biggest film awards on the planet after the Oscars.
