Muslims across the world have commenced fasting in the holy month of Ramadan on Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday , the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Saad Abubakar , have announced the commencement of Ramadan 1447/2026 on Wednesday 18th February, 2026.
In an address via twitter handle and announcement ,the king and Sultan congratulated Muslims globally on the take off of the Ramadan fast period in accordance to the dictates of the glorious Quran.
“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may attain righteousness.”
He said during the blessed month of Ramadan, the gates of Paradise are opened, and within which is a night better than a thousand months.
The Saudi King pray to Allah Almighty to help all Muslims in fasting, standing in prayer, and performing acts of obedience.
Great Opportunity for All Souls
The month of Ramadan is a great opportunity to purify souls, perform righteous deeds, strengthen compassion and solidarity, and give thanks to Allah Almighty for His visible and hidden blessings.
He equally prayed for the security , peace and prosperity, across the world more importantly brothers and sisters in Palestine.
